Listen to them with your eyes averted from the actual words.
Don't look at them !!!

A Starting Point in Language Study:

One of the first things you're going to have to adjust to is the fact that there are more than one word in Spanish equivalent to the English "YOU." Relationship has to be indicated by the use of or Usted, vosotros or Ustedes. All of these words = you.

You'll learn more about these pronouns in the Intro to Pronouns pages. It just takes a little bit of practice to realize which form you'll have to use with any particular given individual.

Although Spanish isn't as difficult as English in the area of pronunciation, there ARE some words that you might need help with for the sake of pronunciation. It sure will help when you decide to get one of these handy talking dictionaries. You'll never have to ask anyone for help again with pronunciation!

Exercises:
If you have a pen handy, draw some eyes on your pointing finger of both hands.
Then, have them talk to each other.
Have them say these expressions: ... MEANINGFULLY!
Have one finger say "¡ Sí !" --- and the other hand respond "¡ No !"
Then have 'em DUKE IT OUT!
Go through all of these expressions over & over, just like a 2-year-old.
It's called: LEARNING.

That's enough for today !!!

Come back tomorrow, and see what else you can learn.
