Developing Listening Skills ...

Today's lesson is an exercise in pronunciation.
Follow one of the links below, and listen to and repeat some of the vocabulary on the page.
Just listen to the Spanish, and repeat words out loud as many times as it takes to say them comfortably.
You're working your listening skills and your imitating skills.
What the heck ...
These are long lists of professions, and you'll definitely need to learn a word or two of these anyway!
You can take your pick:
Lists are extensive and take a minute or so to load. Be patient ...
A thru D
E thru L
M thru Q
R thru Z
actor, artist, doctor, chiropractor, etc. engineer, lawyer, illustrator, journalist, etc. merchant, optician, pirate, etc. racketeer, teacher, stenographer, etc.
Just listen to some words, repeat them a few times, and LEARN a couple!
If you want to do an "advanced" exercise with this vocabulary, say "Soy" plus the word you're using.
Leave off the "el" or "la" --- and you're saying "I'm (a) ______________________.
Soy doctor. I'm a doctor.
Soy ilustrador. I'm an illustrator.
Then try: "No soy ______________________."
This will be saying: " I am not (a/an) ______________________."
No soy ingeniero. I'm not an engineer.
No soy enfermera. I'm not a nurse.

If you're still gonna hang around this page, then you ought to work on something:
¿Qué hora es?
3:00
8:00
10:00
7:00
2:00
6:00
9:00
11:00
1:00
5:00
12:00
4:00
If you can't answer the question, go back a day!!!
¿Con eso basta?
Is that enough today ???

Starting Points in Language Study:

When talking about your profession in Spanish, you'll say: "Soy (profession)." In English we say: "I'm a lawyer." or "I'm an artist." There's no need for the middle word (a or an) in Spanish. You can only be one lawyer or one artist, not 2 or 3, ... unless you wear a lot of aliases, which some authors are known to have.

Also, when learning the professions, be sure you choose the appropriate gender term for yourself. If you're a male lawyer, say "Soy abogado." If you're a female lawyer say: "Soy abogada." The word has to indicate which you are.

Just take into consideration that "el" and "la" in front of a word indicate that the word is masculine or feminine. And LEARN the vocabulary words that way.
